Biography
Born in Italy in the town of Taranto, Dora had a passion for painting from her early teens. Prevented by following an art education, instead she pursued a career in accounting for many years, initially in Italy and continued after moving to England in 1988.
In 2000 her new family moved to the Cayman Islands where she found time to develop her artistic career. Dora has trained with several international artists as well as learning the realistic technique at the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto. Dora was an active member of the Visual Art Society of the Cayman Islands and chaired the board until April 2010.
Since 2011 Dora and her family moved back to the UK and in 2018 she graduated with a Masters degree in Fine Art at the University of Gloucestershire. Her Studio practice is based in London.
She dedicates some of her time volunteering with Charities (Age UK Islington and INS) organisations by giving online art appreciation lectures. She is also a member of The Islington Art Society.
